Soul Food Factory is in the business of manufacturing natural, fresh, healthy yet tasty food with an intention to deliver convenience at home with premium quality while using traditional safe and natural methods. The Managing Director of the firm is Laxmi Saraf , a Goan from Ponda.

The journey of Soul Food Factory began somewhere in January 2016 when she decided to get into the food business as a way of fulfilling her childhood desire of having her own business and building her own identity as a successful entrepreneur. She intentionally chose food processing and manufacturing as her field it is one of the trio of roti, kapda, & makaan which will be forever required by the people to sustain an existence.

Having seen the world outside India realised that, the future was in India because of the ecosystem compared to the other countries. It took 18-24 months of rigorous research and exploration to zero down on the first product of Soul Food Factory. The goal was to solve a  problem for the women who are stretched for the time between their various roles in their lives, and try to create their own identity in society without compromising on the health and nutritional aspects of their children and family, that lead to the idea of developing this product which is very high on nutritional quotient for the entire spectrum of family, right from youths, kids to elderly as well as pregnant women. The product which was launched was Fresh Ready To Cook Idli, Dosa, Utappam, Appe Batter . This product is made using traditional methods, 100% natural ingredients and hygienic processes certified by CFTRI Mysore at industrial levels. Right from procuring the raw material from authentic sources to packing the batter in high quality, FDA approved packets. The entire practice is done at the factory.

Soul Food Factory started the supply sale from Panjim, then moved to Porvorim, Mapusa, Calangute, and Arpora. They also have done B2B tie ups with the hotels and restaurants on the northern costal belt of Goa. One month ago Soul Food Factory has started their supply in Margao, Colva, Navelim, Varca, Ponda & Zuarinagar.

Further course of this firm would be in the product development and new launches along with expanding the supply to new market. The firm is relatively young in business but has aspirations to be a national player in this field.
