Kala Academy Goa and India International Rural Cultural Centre, New Delhi in collaboration
with Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir are organizing “PRAVAH’ – a 2 day festival of Classical
Dances on 1 st and 2 nd November 2019 daily at 6.00 p.m. at Master Dattaram Sabhagruha, Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda-Goa. The Festival will be inaugurated at the hands of Shri Govind Gaude, Hon’ble Minister for Art & Culture, Govt of Goa and Chairman of Kala Academy Goa on Friday, the 1st November 2019 at 5.45 p.m. at the aforesaid venue.

The programmes on both the days are open to all the dance and music lovers.
After the inaugural function on 1 st Nov, 2019 Ritusri Chaudhari and Co-artists (6 members
Groups) will present Kathak Dance in Group Choreography. Padmini Dorairajan and her 6
member group will present Bharatanatyam Dance in Group Choreography on 2 nd Nov., 2019 at 6.00 p.m..

The Main Artist Bio-Data in brief:-
Ritusri Chaudhari
Ritusri Chaudhari is a talented Kathak exponent who has learnt under the Guru Madhumita
Roy. She has also received guidance from Kathak Maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj, Mres. Saswati
Sen, Pt. Rammohan Mishra and Pt. Chitresh Das. She is an empanelled artist of East Zone
Cultural Centre, ICCR and Sangeet Natak Akademi. She has extensively performed in major
dance festivals in India and also at abroad in various countries.

Padmini Dorairajan
Padmini Dorairajan hails from a family with a rich classical background and has received
training in Bharatanatyam from Guru Pandanallur Chockalingam Pillai and his Son Guru
Subbaraya Pillai. She has received advanced dance training from renowned Gurus Padma
Bhushan Shri V. P. Dhananjayan, Smt. Shanta Dhananjayan and Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan.
Padmini has performed at various prestigious festivals in India and abroad, including the
Festival of India at USSR, the Festival d’ete-Nantes at France, the Maldives and the Republic of China sponsored by IRCEN, New Delhi. She also enthralled audiences while touring the South East Asian countries of Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia and also in USA. She is also recipient of fellowship of Depatment of Culture, Govt. of India and recipient of the prestigious “Kalaimamani” award by the Govt. of Tamilnadu. She runs an Institute ‘Kalanjali’ established in 1990 to train young artists in Bharatanatyam.

Kala Academy has appealed the dance lovers to attend the festival on both the days.
