Palolem beach is only 4 kms from Canacona Railway station, on the Konkan Railway route. You can hire auto-rickshaws and taxis to reach Palolem beach from Margao, 40 kms away. There are regular buses from Margao to Palolem that drop you off .
Tourists have of lately found Palolem and so there are a number of shacks selling fish snacks, souvenirs and clothes of this bright, casual kind. A unique concept that comes away with loud blaring live audio. With your own set of earphones, you can dance away to unique genres of songs played with versatile DJs. Palolem is a beach of white sand facing a bay between two headlands. The wooded islands on the northern headland appear alluring.
You could attempt to persuade one of the fishermen — additionally, this is a fishing shore — to ferry you across. They also offer to take you outside.
There are now beautiful beach huts and family rooms to choose from in Palolem. Further south is the cove of Colomb in which you may enjoy peace and quiet.
In late times, Palolem has become famous for its’Silent Noise’ celebrations.
Two kilometres away from Palolem is Rajbag Beach which is dispersed and stretches all the way into the mouth of this Talpona River. And on to Galgibaga Beach which is the second site in Goa for turtles.
