My work….My passion

I believe that the key to success is being yourself, not comparing yourself to others, staying exclusive, original and always welcoming suggestions. Simplest of all, make your passion your work and you won’t have to work a day in your life. Last but not least, never stop learning, life always has some or the other lessons and learnings to offer.Food is art and science. So, you take something out, you have to work with the recipe to make sure that you’re providing delicious food with cleaner labels.

As a young girl, I always had an interest in cooking. When I was about 10, my mom let me cook dinner for the first time. I jumped right in and cooked a meal for my whole family. The feeling of everyone present together at the dinner table around something I created brought me the greatest joy. My interest in cooking didn’t wane and as I grew, my passion for the culinary arts continued. After finishing my schooling, I finished my graduation at Khalsa College, Delhi. I was asked to join a local catering company and help them with events. I ended up working with the company all through my final year , the experience leaving me with an ever growing passion for cooking.

As my cooking expertise and enthusiasm continued, I started paying more attention to the kind of food I was making and eating. Developing a few food allergies made me realize the importance of knowing where the food comes from and the ingredients they contain. An education centered on food was the next step in my journey.

My mission is to make sure every dish I make is one I would feel good eating every day. I want tasty food, but still healthy and nourishing to seem tangible.
Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.Food is not rational. Food is culture, habit, craving and identity.
Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul. There is no love sincerer than the love of food.

Since then, I’ve never stopped. I’m proud to say I never let go of my passion for cooking. I have a restaurant in McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala named *’HOT SPOT’* and a fast food joint , *’TANDOORI JUNCTION’*. In Goa, I have a catering company, *VB4*. We take catering orders for all occasions & events like Weddings, Anniversaries, House Warming, Product Launch, Food Festivals etc and I have a Bakery Manufacturing & Supply unit *’FINGERLICIOUS’* for bakery products like cakes, breads and savories for all occasions. We have also catered snacks to Inox Panjim for six years.

I am doing what I love, turning my passion into my profession and nothing makes me
