Kini supermarket was the dream project of Mr Ravindra Kini, (father of Mrs. Sandhya Kini Mayenkar) a well established and successful businessman himself with many commercial ventures in his name in Panjim. He wanted Sandhya to start this venture 15 years ago. But at that time she was just out of college. Due to lack of knowledge and lack of experience, she did not put her hands into it then.
Then again, 3 years ago he opened that topic again. And this time she went forward and opened this venture. She started in a small scale initially but the enormous response that she got from the customers was a moral booster to expand and offer more and more. At present she is operating the supermarket on 2500sqft area covering every range of daily essentials and aiming at giving everything under one roof to the customers.
